The job
A tight side passage and courtyard between period houses had worn back to gravel and bare ground. They wanted a smart, hard-wearing route through to a usable courtyard at the back.
What we did
We stripped the access back and dug out for a new build-up, laid and compacted a sub-base and screeded a sharp-sand bed. Brindle blocks were run through the narrow side passage and out across the courtyard with a contrasting border, ironwork reset flush, joints sanded and compacted.
The result
A clean brindle courtyard and side access that ties the front and back together — hard-wearing, weed-free, and a proper lift from the worn gravel.
