Block paving driveway in Cranleigh

The job

The old block drive had faded and settled, with weeds coming through the joints. They wanted the lot lifted and redone in fresh brindle block, on a base built properly this time.

What we did

We lifted and cleared the old blocks, dug down to formation, then rebuilt and compacted the sub-base and screeded a sharp-sand bed. New brindle blocks were laid across the full drive with the edge restraints set, then jointed with kiln-dried sand, brushed in and compacted.

The result

A fresh brindle drive on a sound new base — even, weed-free, and plenty of room to park. The frontage looks like a different house.
